After taking a week off to recoup, the Bobcat Varsity Boys Football team played against the Dwyer Panthers in a non-district match, winning 23-3. The Bobcats put up a tough fight, and by the end of the second quarter, they had managed to make one touchdown. With three minutes left, the Panthers made a field goal, setting the score 6-3. Their success was short-lived, however, as West Broward continued to make two touchdowns in the third quarter, and a field goal in the fourth. The Bobcats took full advantage of their off week to grow and learn from previous matches against Cypress Bay and Mainland, showing all the hard work they put in over the summer and after school. “ They worked their tails off and I think that's what they came to realize during this off week was they put a lot of work into this and can’t let it go to waste,” said head coach Brian Mccartney.
